Baseball Recap: Viroqua Comes Up Short

Viroqua was the 5-2 winner over Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Blackhawks fell just short of the Red Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Viroqua's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Viroqua will host Cuba City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blackhawks 3.2, the Cubans 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, they will square off against Westby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
