Baseball Recap: St. Anne's-Belfield Comes Up Short

St. Anne's-Belfield lost against Benedictine back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Saints fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 6-4. That's two games in a row now that the Saints have lost by exactly two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Anne's-Belfield and nudges their season record down to 7-6. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for Benedictine, the win got them back to even at 5-5-1.

St. Anne's-Belfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-5 victory against Trinity Christian on the 5th. As for Benedictine, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 loss against St. Christopher's on the 5th.
