Basketball Recap: Sheridan Comes Up Short

Sheridan won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They lost 79-55 to the Maysville Panthers. The Generals have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Jordyn Watson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Maysville, going 9 for 15 on his way to 26 points and eight boards. Those 26 points gave Watson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gator Nichols, who went 8 of 13 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds.

Sheridan's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Maysville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

Sheridan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 82-48 loss against Tri-Valley on the 31st. As for Maysville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-56 victory against West Muskingum on the 31st.
