Soccer Game Preview: Shorecrest Prep vs. Calvary Christian

The Shorecrest Prep Chargers will venture away from home to face off against the Calvary Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shorecrest Prep's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Shorecrest Prep's offense. They came up short against George Jenkins back in December of 2024, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Eagles are ranked 62nd).

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Calvary Christian was not quite Berkeley Prep's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-1. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Buccaneers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Shorecrest Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-5-2. As for Calvary Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
