The Mason County Royals had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 74-55 victory over Scott. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

The game was Sarakatsannis' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jon Evans, who scored nine points.

Mason County pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Scott, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mason County will be home for the holidays to greet Christian Academy-Louisville at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Scott will be home for the holidays to greet Dixie Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
