Softball Game Preview: Hendersonville Bearcats vs. Polk County Wolverines

Hendersonville hasn't had much luck against Polk County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Hendersonville will venture away from home to face off against Polk County at 4:00 p.m. Hendersonville has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hendersonville lost 11-1 to Erwin on Wednesday. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Polk County made sure to put some runs up on the board against Asheville on Thursday. Polk County put the hurt on Asheville with a sharp 16-0 victory. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The victory got Polk County back to even at 5-5. As for Hendersonville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went Hendersonville's way against Polk County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Hendersonville made off with a 23-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hendersonville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
