Softball Recap: Wyoming East Warriors vs. Bluefield Beavers

Wyoming East took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Bluefield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-11 victory over the Beavers on Thursday. Considering the Warriors' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Carli Raye made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and nine unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-5.
