Soccer Recap: Jenkintown Takes a Loss

Jenkintown lost against Delaware County Christian back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Drakes came up short against the Knights, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Jenkintown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Delaware County Christian are ranked 39th).

Jenkintown's goal came courtesy of Shane Connaghan, who's now up to nine this season.

Jenkintown's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Delaware County Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Jenkintown will welcome Church Farm at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Delaware County Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marple Newtown at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
