With a playoff win on the line, Chesnee rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Central with a sharp 9-2 victory. Considering Chesnee has won 11 matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chesnee's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
