Softball Recap: Spring Hill Broncos vs. Olathe North Eagles

After losing to Olathe North the last time they met, Spring Hill decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Broncos walked away with a 12-8 win over the Eagles on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

Jaleigh White made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off 12 hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Spring Hill let Olivia Fraley and Nora Burrell run wild. Fraley went 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Burrell went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Burrell's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle McFarland, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Spring Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Spring Hill's record now sits at 7-3.
