Game recap: South Hadley High School Football Team wins against Commerce

MaxPreps SPRINGFIELD-HOLYOKE High School Football.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - South Hadley (Mass.) snapped the 6-game winning streak of Commerce (Springfield, Mass.), with a 28-8 victory on Saturday.

The Tigers were up 14-0 at the half after taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter.

The Red Raiders' Hasan Graham played well. He caught one touchdown. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.

Commerce's lone touchdown came on a 12-yard pass from Marque Gibson to Graham in the fourth quarter.



South Hadley went into the matchup giving up only 13.7 points per game. The eight points that CHS ended with were well below its average of 21.5 coming into the game.

The win was a nice bounce back for SH, which lost to Chicopee Comp last week, 28-10. The defeat comes as a step back for Commerce, which notched a 34-6 victory over Bulkeley in its previous outing.
