Volleyball Recap: Westwood's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

The Westwood Wolverines didn't have quite enough to beat the Bellingham Blackhawks on Monday and fell 3-2. The loss put an end to the Wolverines' undefeated start to the season.

Westwood wouldn't go down easily and took Bellingham into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 20-25, 24-26, 15-13.

Having lost for the first time this season, Westwood fell to 2-1. As for Bellingham, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Westwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Xaverian Brothers on the 15th. As for Bellingham, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional on the 16th.
