Volleyball Recap: Central Academy of Technology & Arts Takes a Loss

After flying high against Queen's Grant on Wednesday, Central Academy of Technology & Arts came back down to earth. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Anson Bearcats on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Central Academy of Technology & Arts' offense was headlined by Rayley Wells and Laila Johnson, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Fiona Mollica and her eight assists. Wells also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brooke DeBlasio, each putting up three.

Central Academy of Technology & Arts' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Anson, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

Central Academy of Technology & Arts has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Union Academy on the 29th. As for Anson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Parkwood on the 30th.
