Recap: Boulder Creek Jaguars vs. Pinnacle Pioneers
The Boulder Creek Jaguars pushed their score all the way to 62 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pinnacle. If Boulder Creek hoped to take revenge for the 97-91 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Boulder Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Auditya, who scored 16 points. Auditya continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrew Bhesania, who scored 13 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Boulder Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Pinnacle, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boulder Creek will challenge Sunnyslope at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunnyslope has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 244 points over their last four contests. As for Pinnacle, they will head out on the road to challenge Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Mountain Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
