Basketball Recap: West Carter Takes a Loss

West Carter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 68-60 to the Floyd Central Jaguars.

Floyd Central was led to victory by Dylan Boyd and Wesley Buck. Boyd went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points and five rebounds, while Buck went 8 of 13 en route to 22 points. Buck's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

West Carter's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Floyd Central, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record.

West Carter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-44 defeat against Boyd County on the 28th. As for Floyd Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-41 loss against Knott County Central on the 27th.
