Recap: Lake Creek Lions vs. College Station Cougars
The Lake Creek Lions waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They took down College Station 63-46. That's another feather in the cap for Lake Creek, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Aedan Lewis was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Jett Sutton was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Lake Creek is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for College Station, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5.
Lake Creek will head out on the road to take on Montgomery at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Montgomery will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 777th, while Lake Creek is ranked 163rd). As for College Station, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Magnolia at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Magnolia is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
