Volleyball Recap: St. John Tigers vs. Pretty Prairie Bulldogs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. John had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against the Pretty Prairie Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers who have now won six contests in a row.

St. John easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-7.

Lydia Reed paced St. John's offense, picking up 11 kills. Reed got some help from Gentri Bright and her 24 assists. Lillian Brummer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. John is on a roll lately: they've won 25 of their last 31 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 29-13 record this season. As for Pretty Prairie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 30-12.

St. John will face off against Little River at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. St. John is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. Pretty Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
