Softball Recap: Orion Comes Up Short

Orion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Macomb Bombers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 11-10 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Orion's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Macomb, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-12.

Orion didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Riverdale on the 21st. As for Macomb, they will venture away from home to take on Hamilton/Warsaw at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
