Softball Recap: South Central Trojans vs. St. Paul Flyers
South Central had taken St. Paul down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Trojans lost 15-4 to the Flyers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flyers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Thursday.
Zaida Myers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Novaleigh Myers, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.
This is the second loss in a row for South Central and nudges their season record down to 3-12. As for St. Paul, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Central will face off against rival Monroeville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Paul is set to square off against their familiar foe Plymouth at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
