Austin Huff Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Thursday, Ben Lippen got the W thanks in part to Austin Huff playing the best football he has all season. Huff wasn't messing around, picking up three sacks, making seven total tackles (5.0 for loss), and defending a pass. The match was his third straight with five or more total tackles.

Ben Lippen moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Huff and Ben Lippen will be playing in front of their home fans against Laurence Manning Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Tony Brown Makes It Two for Porter-Gaud

Another Porter-Gaud player making an appearance on this list is Tony Brown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season. He didn't just play on offense: he also made eight total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended two passes.

Brown and Porter-Gaud will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cardinal Newman at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th. The Cyclones got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Cardinals, probably because Brown had a solid game then too: he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
