Albemarle hasn't had much luck against Goochland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Patriots will welcome the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Albemarle is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Chancellor with a sharp 17-2 victory on Monday. The Patriots not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16, 2024.

Albemarle got a massive performance out of Mela Gibson, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs Gibson has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Armstrong, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Goochland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Charlottesville on Thursday as they made off with a 17-4 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Black Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Avery Newman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
