Baseball Recap: Lauderdale County Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Lauderdale County had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 6-0 to the Deshler Tigers. Lauderdale County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Deshler apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Lauderdale County got a good showing from Cyler Parker, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Lauderdale County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Lash, who went 2-for-3 with one double. The dominant performance also gave Lash a new career-high in hits (two).

Coming up, Lauderdale County will take on Muscle Shoals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Deshler has already played their next matchup (against Rogers), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
