Basketball Preview: Cristo Rey vs. Brooks
After two games on the road, Cristo Rey is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host Brooks at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Monday, Cristo Rey ended up a good deal behind the The Red Tailed Hawk and lost 63-46. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cristo Rey in their matchups with the The Red Tailed Hawk: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, Brooks pushed their score all the way to 62 back in January, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 78-62 to Phillips Academy. Brooks has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cristo Rey has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Brooks, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
