Softball Preview: Woodland Wolves vs. Dixon Rams        
        
		
            Woodland hasn't had much luck against Dixon recently, but that could start to change  on Monday. The Wolves will host the Rams  at 4:30  p.m.
Woodland is headed into Monday's   game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game  on Thursday. They fell  9-4 to El Camino.
  Sofia Sanchez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  home run was  her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Presley Pinegar, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Dixon won against Woodland  on Tuesday with 13  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Thursday. The Rams blew past Sutter 13-7. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Adi Martinez was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Emily Morris, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
 Dixon  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .558. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Dixon pushed their record up to 8-3 with the  victory, which was their 12th straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
