Canyon extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Flintridge Prep. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Flintridge Prep Wolves. Winning may never get old, but the Cowboys sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Canyon took Flintridge Prep into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-10, 24-26, 22-25, 15-10.
Despite the loss, Flintridge Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ally Perez had 17 digs. Perez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in the last three games she's played.
Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season. As for Flintridge Prep, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-8.
