Basketball Recap: Concord Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Concord Christian Academy and Chestertown Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Concord Christian Academy had to settle for second. They lost 35-11 to the Chestertown Christian Academy Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent loss being a 28-16 defeat last Thursday.

Despite the defeat, Concord Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aubrey Collison posted four points along with five boards and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Concord Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-9. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 4-6 Chestertown Christian Academy and 5-6 Chestertown Christian Academy. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Concord Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, they will take on Calvary Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Christian Academy will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Chestertown Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
