Basketball Recap: Jay County Takes a Loss

Jay County was the 31-14 winner over Bluffton when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jay County Patriots were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 47-46 to the Bluffton Tigers.

Jay County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tucker Griffin, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Gradin Swoveland, who scored 14 points.

Jay County's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Bluffton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Jay County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-41 defeat against Blackford on the 1st. As for Bluffton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-41 win against Madison-Grant on the 1st.
