Baseball Recap: Weston Comes Up Short

If Weston was feeling good fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Union Parish last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Weston Wolves fell just short of Family Community Christian by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Family Community Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Weston's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Family Community Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Weston didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-6 victory against Choudrant on the 7th. As for Family Community Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Claiborne Christian on the 8th.
