Jordynn Hawkins was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hawkins was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katherine Salazar, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2025. Alexa Loubet was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one double.
La Marque was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Fort Bend Willowridge couldn't beat Stafford last Tuesday even though they stacked eight runs on them in the first inning. The Eagles came up short against the Spartans, falling 32-8. The Eagles have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Fort Bend Willowridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for La Marque, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12-1.
