Carbon Hill extended their losing streak  to five  on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They were dealt  a  61-25 loss at the hands of the Gordo Green Wave. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the  56-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2024.
 Carbon Hill's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Michael Baker, who gained 187 total yards and two touchdowns, and  Dayton Miller, who threw for 280 yards and four  TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt.
As for Gordo,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 9-1. Given their advantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Carbon Hill is ranked 361st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Makain Robertson was the offensive standout of the  contest as he rushed for 90 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only six carries. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ryder Robertson, who rushed for 55 yards on only five carries.
 Looking ahead, Carbon Hill will be playing at home against Meek  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Gordo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
