Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial waltzed into their match on Saturday with 20 straight wins... but they left with 21. They put the hurt on the King Mustangs with a sharp 17-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-0 back in March.

Parker Malone was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Chrysta Coy was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for King, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will take on Corpus Christi Moody at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.18 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
