Volleyball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Hamilton

Perry faced Hamilton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Pumas took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies. The Pumas' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Sophia Gregg paced Perry's offense, picking up 20 kills. Gregg got some help from Kail Shill and her 25 assists. Gregg was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 19-14. As for Hamilton, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-7.

Perry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Valley Vista on the 8th. As for Hamilton, they will challenge Otay Ranch at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
