Volleyball Recap: Marshfield Comes Up Short

Marshfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Fayetteville Bulldogs.

Fayetteville was led to victory by Maddie Head and Lyla Blagg. Head had four aces, while Blagg had eight digs. Those four aces gave Head a new career-high.

Marshfield's loss dropped their record down to 14-6-1. As for Fayetteville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshfield will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Plains at 7:00 p.m. on October 7. As for Fayetteville, they will square off against Bentonville West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
