Baseball Recap: Cobden Appleknockers vs. Egyptian Pharaohs

Cobden scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Egyptian Pharaohs as the Cobden Appleknockers made off with a 16-6 win. With that victory, Cobden brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Hunter Pitts made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Pitts has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Pitts was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with five RBI, a triple, and a run.

In other batting news, Cobden let Micah Brown and Mitchell Howell loose on the outfield.
