Volleyball Recap: Camelback Takes a Loss

Camelback lost against Maryvale back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-19.

Alan Diaz paced Camelback's offense, picking up eight kills. Diaz got some help from Phillip Gonzales and his nine assists.

Camelback's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Maryvale, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Maryvale will take on South Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Camelback will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' game: after the Panthers faces off against Browne, they'll take on Camelback again at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
