Nicholas County hasn't had much luck against Hoover recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Nicholas County Grizzlies will welcome the Hoover Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Nicholas County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.

Nicholas County is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-49 heartbreaker at the hands of PikeView. While the Grizzlies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 18-11 in the first quarter.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Isaiah Miner, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Meanwhile, Hoover posted their closest win since December 31, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Buffalo 58-55. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Nicholas County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Things could have been worse for Nicholas County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-47 loss to Hoover when the teams last played back in January.
