Buckeye Valley has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bishop Ready recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Barons will challenge the Silver Knights at 5:15 p.m. Bishop Ready took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Buckeye Valley, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Buckeye Valley made easy work of Franklin Heights and carried off an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Barons, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Bishop Ready was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Columbus Academy, falling 13-5.

Brendan Long and Kasen Abbott stepped up to the plate in a big way. Long went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Abbott went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Buckeye Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Bishop Ready, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything went Buckeye Valley's way against Bishop Ready when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Buckeye Valley made off with a 6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Barons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
