Softball Recap: Southside Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fort Payne on Tuesday, Southside came back down to earth. The Panthers took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Tuesday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 9-1.

Southside has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-23 record this season. As for Fort Payne, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Southside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Payne, they have already played their next contest, a 9-1 defeat against the Panthers on the 5th.
