Baseball Game Preview: Head-Royce Jayhawks vs. College Prep Cougars

For the second straight game, Head-Royce will face off against College Prep. The Jayhawks will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Head-Royce's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while College Prep has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Head-Royce came out on top against College Prep on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Jayhawks walked away with a 10-6 win over the Cougars. With that victory, the Jayhawks brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Head-Royce let Ezra Goldfarb and Kaden Choi run wild. Goldfarb went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Choi got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and two triples. Those four runs gave Choi a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kento Tsuji, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

College Prep now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Head-Royce, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
