Volleyball Recap: Roanoke Rapids Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Roanoke Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Louisburg Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-14.

Zoey Thomas paced Roanoke Rapids' offense, picking up six kills. Thomas got some help from Emilee Campbell and her nine assists. Finally, Thomas was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Louisburg was led to victory by Gabby Capp and Leilani Pellot. Capp had four digs and four aces, while Pellot had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Capp has posted since back in September.

Roanoke Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Louisburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Roanoke Rapids didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against American Leadership Academy-Johnston on the 9th. As for Louisburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Bunn on the 9th.
