Basketball Game Preview: Powder Valley Badgers vs. Grant Union Prospectors

The Powder Valley Badgers will square off against the Grant Union Prospectors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grant Union took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Powder Valley, who comes in off a win.

Powder Valley is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest victory since February 21, 2024 on Saturday. They blew past Pine Eagle 49-23.

Meanwhile, Grant Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Enterprise, falling 46-21.

Powder Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Grant Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything came up roses for Powder Valley against Grant Union in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 42-13 win. Will Powder Valley repeat their success, or does Grant Union have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
