Armani Checo leads New Milford to victory over Abbott RVT

The New Milford Green Wave scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 77-54 margin over Abbott RVT. With that victory, New Milford brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.

Armani Checo was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-6 from deep and dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten assists. It was the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. Ryan Esposito was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

The win makes it two in a row for New Milford and bumps their season record up to 4-10. As for Abbott RVT, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

New Milford will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Bunnell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Green Wave in Connecticut (the Bulldogs are ranked eighth, while the Green Wave are ranked 157th). As for Abbott RVT, they will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Kaynor Tech is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
