Softball Recap: Cactus Cobras vs. Peoria Panthers
Cactus had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Peoria Panthers as they made off with a 16-4 win. The Cobras have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.
Riley Kilgore made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Cactus let Rhyan Enos and Charley Enos run wild. Rhyan scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Charley scored three runs while going 3-for-4. With that strong performance, Rhyan is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Mia Turner was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5.

Cactus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
