Wichita Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. Their tough 11-1 loss to the Gainesville Leopards might stick with them for a while. Wichita Falls was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gainesville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
For Gainesville's part, Breanna Barrientos made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over five innings pitched. Barrientos was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
