Baseball Recap: Elysian Fields Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Elysian Fields waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Carlisle Indians.

John Beavers made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Parker, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Garrett Roos also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Elysian Fields' record now sits at 6-11. As for Carlisle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Elysian Fields beat Carlisle by a score of 9-5 on Friday.
