Basketball Recap: KIPP College Prep Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

KIPP College Prep entered their match against Paul Public Charter International on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The KIPP College Prep Panthers fell just short of the Paul Public Charter International Pirates by a score of 71-68. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (61), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why KIPP College Prep lost, don't look at Kaden Butler. Despite the final result, he posted 24 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Butts, who had 13 points.

Paul Public Charter International got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Quran Williams out in front who went 7 for 12 on his way to 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasir Rodgers, who went 7 of 13 en route to 18 points.

KIPP College Prep's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-7. As for Paul Public Charter International, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

KIPP College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-62 defeat against Parkside on the 23rd. Paul Public Charter International has also already played their next contest, a 70-48 victory against Thurgood Marshall Academy on the 23rd.
