Baseball Recap: Neptune vs. Long Branch Green Wave
Neptune entered their tilt with Long Branch on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Green Wave. That's more bragging rights for Neptune, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Andrew Wardell was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Wardell was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Neptune got a big performance out of Javier Lemus, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The win got Neptune back to even at 8-8. As for Long Branch, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6.
