Recap: Chicago Mathematics & Science vs. Uplift Titans
The matchup between Chicago Mathematics & Science and the Uplift Titans on Saturday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. Chicago Mathematics & Science came out on top against Uplift by a score of 63-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chicago Mathematics & Science.
It was another big night for Marcus Hughes-Bey, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Hughes-Bey is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Fleming, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Chicago Mathematics & Science has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Uplift, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.
Chicago Mathematics & Science will head out on the road to square off against Northtown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Uplift, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Rickover Naval at 5:00 p.m. on January 24th. Rickover Naval comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
