Softball Game Preview: Cedar Creek Pirates vs. Millville Thunderbolts

The Cedar Creek Pirates will venture away from home to take on the Millville Thunderbolts at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar Creek has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cedar Creek came up short against Egg Harbor Township on Monday, falling 14-4.

Meanwhile, Millville suffered their closest loss since April 5th on Monday. They fell just short of Vineland by a score of 6-4. The Thunderbolts have struggled against the Fighting Clan recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Kendall Mazur made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Musey, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Cedar Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Millville, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Cedar Creek couldn't quite get it done against Millville when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 14-10. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
