Basketball Recap: Cayleb Blea's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Academy for Technology and the Classics over Oak Grove Classical Academy

On Thursday, Academy for Technology and The Classics were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-52 to the Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls. Academy for Technology and The Classics has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Academy for Technology and The Classics players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cayleb Blea, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Mikey Mora, who put up 12 points.

Oak Grove Classical Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaac Rush, who earned 27 points. Rush continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Brody Prochnow was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Academy for Technology and The Classics' loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Oak Grove Classical Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.

Academy for Technology and The Classics didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 84-38 defeat against St. Michael's on the 21st. Oak Grove Classical Academy has also already played their next contest, a 60-44 loss against Legacy Academy on the 20th.
